Unit 10 Exponents and Scientific Notation

Objective:  Students will use Scientific Notation to express extremely

     large or extremely small values.  Students will Review the properties of

     exponents to help prepare for the Unit Test.        

Finish/Correct:     Lesson 10.7 OYO #3-6 (pages 450-451)  

                       Exercises #5, 6, 16-23. (page 452)

Assign:      Practice Quiz #1-6, 9-14 (page 454)

                   Chapter Review #1-30, 33-34 (pages 455-457)

Period 6

Unit 12  Quadratic Relationships

Objective:  Students will identify and use Quadratic relationships
                   to solve problems using graphs, tables, and equations.

Finish:      Problem 2.3, 2.4, (pages 22-26)

                 ACE Questions #1-21 (pages 30-31). 

Assign:     Quadratics:  Factored and Expanded Form (Worksheet)

                  ACE Questions # 23-28, 30-39. (page 32)

                  

Homework:  Finish through the Practice worksheet.

Period 7

Unit 9    Data Analysis - Scatter Plots, Line of Best Fit.

      

Objective:  Students will use scatter plots to display and analyse data.

                              

Finish:   Read pages 374-375.

               Lesson 9.1 OYO #1, 2 (pages 374, 375)

                   Exercises #1-12, 14, 16. (pages 376-377)

Assign:   Journals page 186 Activity 2; pages 187-190.
