Period 1 & 2 Science

Objective:  Students will create a timeline of Earth History and learn about major changes to Earth and life through time. 

   

Finish:     Lab:  The Geologic Time Scale

      Create a geologic timeline with significant events dating 4.6 billion years ago.

      Select this link, make a copy to your G-Drive.

            Geologic Time Scale Lab Report

      Complete the Lab Report and share it with Mr. Pulliam.  It will be due        by the end of the period on Wednesday.

   Measuring Time Activity.  Watch the video:  Geologic Time Scale

       Use what you learned in the video to create your own flow chart of the different time eons, eras, periods, and epochs.  List important events and fossil findings for each measure of time.

     

Homework:  Your essays and vocabulary words were due Monday! The Geologic Timeline lab report is due today (Wednesday). Make sure that you have shared these with Mr. Pulliam.





Period 6 & 7 Math

Objective:  Students will solve math problems using operations with integers.

Notes:  Link to Chapter 1 Notes

Finish:  Unit 1 Quiz 1.1 - 1.3

Assignment:  Practice Journals pages 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14.
              Big Ideas Textbook:              
                  Lesson 1.4, Examples, On Your Own #1 - 13, pages 24-25.

     

Homework:  Finish the Practice Journal pages.
